WHY I AM HERE AND YOU SHOULD TOO!
Hello! My name is Aneta. If you would like to know something more about me please visit the About section of this website where I share a littlle story about myself with you.
This is the first post on this blog because I felt I need to explain you guys what I am doing here and how you can benefit from this blog if you are studying Chemistry A-level. I'm absolutely certain that whether you feel like a master in Chemistry or just starting from nearly nothing, you will find my blogs helpful. Even if it is just to revise before a test or exam, it is good to repeat what you've already learned in school. Ok, I don't want to go on and on about how these posts will help you, I will just show it to you. Let's transfer the speaking into doing. Also, I get it, everyone is different, so if after a couple of posts you don't feel like it is something for you, carry on with your way of revision, do you!
*Every other day, new posts will be showing up on my blog with new Chemistry tutorials. Each post will be supported with a youtube video with past paper questions related to the topic. *
*I am going to switch between Unit 1 and Unit 2 AS-level Chemistry. *
ALL THE BASICS YOU NEED TO KNOW
--> I am using a WJEC specification and the topics that they teach because this is the exam board that my school has; (The Chemistry topics are quite similar in most exam boards)
--> I am also working with WJEC Chemistry for AS-level revision guide written by Peter Blake, Elfed Charles and Kathryn Foster. (I am going to leave a picture of the book below with my quick opinion about it.)

I have to say that this revision guide is the best I have ever found. It doens't only provide you with all the topics and pictures that you need to know for a WJEC Chemistry exam but also quick knowledge checks next to all the topics and loas of question at the end of each section.
I 100% recommend this revision guide and I do not regret a penny spent on this book.
5 WAYS OF REVISION YOU HAVE TO KNOW ABOUT!
Here are five ways of revision that combined together helped me a lot during my A-levels. I hope they will help you too! Why not try them?
1.PAST PAPERS!!!! I know all of the teachers will say it to you, but it is sooooo true. The questions do repeat a lot in exams, they change couple of numbers and words and rest is left the same.
2. The next revision technique that I recommend is to write all of the key words on post it notes and hung them all around your room, or bathroom, anywhere you look a lot. For example, I hung mine next to my bed, so every time I went to sleep I read them. I also, put them on my door and next to my mirror.
3. Colour coordinating- I am not going to explain this one, everyone will use this technique slightly different.
4. Every time after a lesson, I would go home and rewrite the topic again. You can use a different revision guide or an internet website to do this. Others will agree that merging two or more sources of information into one will help you learn it because each website may have a different method of teaching and one of them may suit you better than the other.
